Despite losing two of the three seats, running for town council with Dan Weiss and Stacey Fox was a gratifying experience. Our slate expressed a vision for West Windsor that our current town council canāt imagine. We reached thousands of voters and I have a renewed love for our town and the quality of life we currently enjoy.
I say this despite the attacks I experienced. The last time I was bullied like that I was in middle school. The other campaign called me crazy. Deranged. Unable to do math. A puppet whose strings were pulled by nefarious PACs. Also, I donāt serve my community. Iām apathetic. And simultaneously, I am going to turn West Windsor into a city. I had never seen myself as a super villain before.
Letās put that rhetoric aside. The truth is I am proud to have been part of a principled political campaign. My wife, family, and friends are proud. Dan, Stacey, and I are just regular, local people, and we do our best to serve the town.
Of course I am disappointed that Stacey and I lost, but we wonāt stop working for West Windsor. We deserve good governance and transparent decision-making. I trust Dan Weiss will help us get there.
I also trust in democracy. Sure it is messy, but it beats the alternative of authoritarianism. Democratic processes arenāt easy, but through this campaign I gained a new appreciation for being an American.
Based on how close this election was, it seems we havenāt made up our collective mind about the trucks. I do hope we have made up our mind about democracy.
Democracy>Fascism. Independent thought>following one who governs by, āTrust me, I know what I am doing!ā
We must prepare ourselves now for what will surely be a difficult 2024 presidential election. In just the past few days, Trump called the political left āverminā and openly discussed putting undocumented people in ācamps.ā Project 2025 is openly recruiting MAGA devotees to come to Washington to replace federal government employees. If not exactly goose-stepping, at minimum America is facing a flirtation with leather boots.
In West Windsor we regularly vote for Republicans, like Mayor Marathe and Councilperson Mandel. But next year, West Windsor, we need to appreciate the fact that we have that choice. Democracy is on the line. Next year, West Windsor, we must reject authoritarianism and remain a democracy, as messy as it is.
I would like to see the Long Range Forecast you cited. I have been tracking enrollment for over 5 years. The 8098 projected enrollment would represent a 17% decrease in enrollment over the past 10 years!
Stephen I sent you 2 emails with all the information. Full disclosure, the information that I sent you came directly from Aderhold or his administration.Ā
Sunny, with a high of 66 and low of 46 degrees. Partly Cloudy during the morning, overcast in the afternoon, clear overnight.
I read that Dana Krug is Chairwoman of the Finance Committee of the WW school board, which means to me that she is the right person to respond to Mehno's very reasonable inquiries. My hopes are that Ms. Krug will respond adequately according to her duties and capacityĀ as Chairwoman.Ā
I will give her the benefit of the doubt. But Krug never responds to any inqueries.....she is not approachable nor she cares.Ā
Is all of that $54.3M accounted for and where is it?
That is a question that I have been asking Aderhold and I have not received any answer. I do not know where it went.Ā
We taxpayers are fortunate to have Veronica Mehno as such a concerned and knowledgeable member of our community, and I echo her concerns about the expenditures and practices of the West Windsor school administrators.
I hope Aderhold will respond to my complaint submitted to the Education Department. I have been asking the same 2 questions since August 17, 2026 and Aderhold responds by telling me that money surplus can be legally transferred to the capital reserves account.
Would it be able to contact you offline? My name is Dr.Amar Atre.Ā I am running for BOE for WW-P in the coming election. My e-mail is atreboe@gmail.com. Number is 404-617-5969.
I request that Superintendent Aderhold respond to the questions Virginia Mehno raises.Ā And also, whyĀ wouldĀ later school start times result inĀ additional buses and drivers with higher fuel costs?
Enrollment has dropped about 10% over 15 years. This is a trend not unusual for other districts. Adding capacity makes no sense.Ā
Veronica, have any of the following resources been contacted to complete an investigative audit?
The question is not whether the transfers were legal or properly recorded.
